In-Home Newborn Session with Baby Felix

Whenever I shoot a newborn session, I’m transported immediately back to the early days of motherhood. Exhaustion and bliss and isolation and adoration. So many emotions and states-of-being colliding. It’s partly why I love being a Seattle newborn photographer. I get to step into a family’s space and encapsulate the memory of that time for them. Let’s delve into the story of Laura, Isaac, and baby Felix.

A Low-Key Approach to Newborn Photography

Newborn sessions are a unique opportunity to freeze those fleeting moments in time. As a Seattle newborn photographer, I relish the chance to be a part of these special moments and witness families grow. My preferred approach to newborn sessions is a simple one—right in the comfort of your own home.

I understand that those first few weeks (or months) with a newborn can feel like a whirlwind. The mere thought of leaving the house for a photoshoot can be overwhelming. So, I come to you, creating a tranquil and seamless environment that allows you to relax and be yourselves. My main goal is to make it as easy as possible for parents and their precious newborns.

A Growing Family

Laura and Isaac, originally from New York, found themselves in Seattle, embarking on a new adventure as parents to their adorable son, Felix. Their family journey began with their beloved dog, Olive, who, despite being an older pup, added a touch of nostalgia to their family photos.

While Laura is a photography enthusiast who loves capturing moments through her lens, it was a special treat to have her in front of the camera this time, basking in the joy of motherhood. On the other hand, Isaac, who might not be as keen on taking photos usually, was brimming with excitement to celebrate this beautiful chapter in their lives with baby Felix.

A Comfortable and Pressure-Free Session

Like I’ve said, any newborn session should feel comfortable and carefree. No rush to get certain photos or pose your baby in a certain way. I come to you so that everyone feels the easy of the situation. And we can include whatever aspects of your home life and routine you’d like.

Laura decided she wanted some breastfeeding pictures, which were so precious and beautiful to capture. For any woman who’d like these images, I make sure to let them know it’s a relaxed and no-pressure situation. Do what feels natural to you, because that’s how you’ll want to remember the moment.

If you’re looking for a Seattle newborn photographer who will create a comfortable and seamless photoshoot for you in-home, I’d love to connect. We can incorporate whatever you’d like for your daily life and routine to capture this moment in time and preserve the sweet memories of those early days.
