Hi! I’m Chelsea and...

Chelsea Macor Photography-2 (2).jpg

I see you. I see you taking a million iPhone photos of your children and your people. I see you spending that half hour you could have had to yourself, rocking your sweet babe for ten more minutes instead, just breathing them in. I know how deeply you love and how you dream of seeing yourself showering that love on your people in pictures.

You are beautiful when you are hugging your child, but also when you are comforting your child, at your wits end with your child, and even in tears not wanting to explain one more time why riding in the car seat is not optional and wondering how this thirty pound kid is so freakin’ strong.

And that is how and why I want to photograph you. Photographs that are authentic in their joy, struggle, pain, delight. Photographs that show the many sides of family. Let’s get real. Let’s get creative. Let me make soulful photos that earn their place on your walls and in your heart.

A Little Bit More About Me…

I am an oversharing, ice cream eating, family-centric, mama of one. Hailing from Texas, I now live with my husband, David, my toddler, Rufus, and our dog Wally in the Seattle area. I studied photography in high school and then art history in college. Between then and now I battled chronic anxiety and depression, which unfortunately ruled my life for a while. I fought hard to get back to the surface and when I did we found out that we couldn’t get pregnant on our own. Eventually with the help of my beloved specialist and IVF, I got pregnant and 38 weeks later I had Rufus. I share all of this in the hopes that I can foster connection and understanding.

Motherhood has been everything I hoped and not at all like I expected at the same time. I have felt like everything is effortless and I am a champion mama, and I have felt like my son deserves I different mother. Whew. I love it.

And, I take pictures. Non-stop. Of my kid, my family, palm trees, flowers and most of all, mothers. In the light, in the dark, full of color and stripped down.

So, let me grab my camera and a coffee, kiss my kid goodbye, and you can show me your family.

Do you know that little thrill and tingle you get in your heart when you print your holiday cards? Take a moment to think about the warm and sweet nostalgia you feel when you go home to visit your parents and you look through old photographs? Happiness from your printed photos is REAL.

I believe that your photos should not live in a gallery, on a USB stick, or in the cloud. Or rather, I think they should be there, safe and sound, while tangible printed albums and framed prints surround you in your home. You will feel happier, I know it. I will make you an album that tells your family story and/or help you create the perfect notebook to send a grandparent. I also have a passion for finding the perfect spot in your home to display your photos and will help you pick and design framed prints in your home. If you have trouble with gallery walls, I am here to help.

Kind Words From My Clients

“I met Chelsea after observing her shoot a friend's wedding where she made fast friends with my four year old son. Both at the wedding and in my home, she slipped into the background allowing us to just do our thing while not missing a second of it. This style helped all of us to feel relaxed and helped her capture us in action instead of staged shots. She's so great with kids-she took my son's suggestions for shots and embraced him as her assistant as he worked to adjust his camera settings whenever she did.”

We are already excited for our next session- the end results were better than I could have ever hoped! She is professional, communicative, extremely talented and made the experience perfect from start to finish. I highly recommend!”

“Chelsea was incredible to work with. We are a pretty laid back family and my husband does not prefer photos, but Chelsea made him feel so comfortable and confident! Not only did Chelsea always check in on how my daughter was doing and asking if she needed to take a break, she also asked us and made us feel like there was no rush. Words cannot quite describe how cherished our photos are. Thank you Chelsea!!”

“Chelsea was a godsend. Working with her, especially with a toddler, to take family photos was completely stress free. She truly knows what she’s doing. I’ve worked with her for family photos, blogger photos, and styled sessions and I just cannot get enough of her work! So many of the walls in my house are filled with her photographs. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your story, takes stunning photos, and is just plain fun to be around...look no further! ❤️

“Chelsea is amazing at what she does. She made my baby and toddler feel comfortable and captured the images I was hoping for. She even went out of her way to do a another shoot in order to capture all the images I wanted. She helped me pick out which ones to print and what size to buy for my wall space. I’m already booking her again for another photo shoot when my daughter turns one and possibly head shots for my husband. She will be our go-to photographer from now on.”
