Watching A Family Grow | Seattle Maternity Photography

I have been photographing Becca since I started my business. She was a new mom and new to style blogging. I remember that she brought her husband, Jonathan, along for her session for support and help with the sweetest little red haired baby I had ever seen - Macey. The rest, as they say, was history. I photographed their family many times over the next couple of years. A family session at the site of their wedding, a studio session for photos for her blog, street and Pike Place Market Photos to show off her style. I have watched Macey grow into a hysterical toddler (go to Becca’s Insta Highlights and watch Macey talk about wine). I have watched Becca grow confident and then pregnant. Ha!

I walked into her Fall City home for this session, looked at her long floral dress and bare feet, and the words “homesteader” and “Little House on the Prairie” popped into my mind. I wanted to show their family as I have witnessed them. Becca as the steady heartbeat of her family. Jonathan as Macey’s adoring father and a husband who feels an epic love for his wife - he writes love notes on sticky notes and they are all around the house. Macey with her laughter, her stubbornness, her outgoing hilarity. I hope I did these three ( four?) justice, as they mean the world to me.
