Sweet Family Photos During the Holidays

Why do so many dads resist family photos? Out of all of the family sessions I have ever photographed I think I have had two enthusiastic fathers ever. Angela contacted me a while ago, excited that she was emerging from her postpartum fog and sadness and wanted to document her sweet Amelia and being a family of three. Well, four including their sweet pup! Cameron...well...he was not as excited! He warned me when I walked in the door. He also offered me coffee and was immediately warm and welcoming.  I would also saw, there is no dad stubborn enough to resist playing with their family and my awkward and fun techniques! Haha. I loved this family session. We took it slow and took photos in their beautiful home and then wandered outside to a little picturesque area near their house. Isn't Amelia gorgeous and twinkly? She is almost one and I have to say, I LOVE that age. Cameron- thanks for being a trooper!
