Family of Four, at Home in Kirkland
This session was extra special for me, because Jessica, the mama here, was in my PEPS group. I have mentioned it before, but PEPS is an amazing new parent support and education group. Jess and I reconnected a bit recently because our kiddos are going to the same fabulous daycare. Jess and her husband, Chapin, welcomed baby Mari into their family almost four months ago and I had the honor of taking their first photos as a family of four. Jess is my new hero. Two under two (well, practically) seems SO challenging. Yes, it was my goal, but with two failed embryo transfers this summer it is not my reality. Anyway, Jess is so honest about the highs and the lows, she is so brave (she had a ruptured placenta and hospital stay along with Mari's birth), and she always has a smile on her face. Not that she is always happy, because she is honest, but she smiles while talking about hard things. It is so endearing. Chapin was one of the most cheerful dads I have ever photographed and the girls were just darling.
Congrats, Chapin and Jess on your newest addition, your beautiful new home, and your grit. Hang in there. xo
